Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Price In India | Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Reviews,Specifications,Advantages,Features,Pricing

Samung Galaxy Note 8: First Review Only On Gadget Crackle:  Price Of This Samsung Galaxy Note 8 In India Is 30,500 Approx.

OverView:The 8-inch Galaxy Note 8 is reasonably comfortable to hold one-handed in portrait mode to make jottings with its pressure-sensitive pen, and is a delight to use. Still, you'll need to really want the added features that pen input brings to the device, because it's relatively expensive.

Samsung Has Launched Its New Note,Its Galaxy Note, a 5-inch smartphone/pen-based tablet, now on its second iteration, has established the 'phablet' form factor, for example, while the 10.1-inch Galaxy Note 10.1 also supports pen input and sits alongside the standard touch-only Galaxy Tab.

Samsung has now added an intermediate device to the Note range, the 8-inch Galaxy Note 8. It comes in two versions, one with Wi-Fi and mobile (3G) broadband and the other with Wi-Fi only. We were sent the Wi-Fi-only model, which costs £282.50 (ex. VAT; £339 inc. VAT).

Key Specifications Of Samsung Galaxy Note 8:

  • 5-inch smartphone/pen-based tablet
  • 1.6GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos 4 Quad processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 5-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel cameras
  • 4,600mAh battery
  • Android 4.1
  • 16GB of internal storage.

Designs:
Samsung could be accused of confusing the market with its wide array of different sized smartphones, tablets and 'phablets' and the use of pen input on some of these devices. Alternatively, you could say that this diversity of products reflects the wide range of user requirements.

The Galaxy Note 8 has a distinctive bright white chassis and a shiny backplate..It feels good in the hand, but the backplate's shininess makes the device a little slippery to hold.

The build is reasonably solid, though the all-plastic chassis does bend if you exert a bit of pressure. The weight of 340g makes the Galaxy Note 8 an easy device to hold for extended periods. Its overall dimensions of 135.9mm wide by 210.8mm deep by 7.95mm thick make the Galaxy Note 8 slightly too large for most coat pockets, but it compares well with the competition. For example, it's only slightly bigger than the iPad mini, whose dimensions are 134.7mm by 200 by 7.2mm.

Features:
Running a 1.6GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos 4 Quad processor with 2GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note 8 is an extremely smooth performer. The touchscreen is also responsive. With GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, MHL, dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, 5-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel cameras at the rear and front respectively, along with stereo speakers, the technical features are generally impressive. There's no flash on either camera, and no NFC (Samsung prefers its own S-Beam), but these are minor niggles. Moreover, the 4,600mAh battery got us through a day's worth of fairly intensive use that involved streaming, GPS and browsing.

The Galaxy Note 8 runs Android 4.1, putting it just behind the leading edge, and there are two models, one with Wi-Fi and mobile (3G) broadband and one with Wi-Fi only. If you get the 3G model you can use Android's phone features — we'd have liked to test this, but Samsung sent us the Wi-Fi-only version to review.

Conclusion
The Galaxy Note 8 is a delight to use. It feels the perfect size for a pen-based tablet, simply because it's so close to an A5 paper notebook. If anything, it betters the 5in. Samsung Galaxy Note in this respect. It's reasonably comfortable to hold one-handed in portrait mode to make jottings, while the pen input benefits from pressure sensitivity.

Samsung Finally Launches The Samsung ATIV Odyssey bound for Verizon|Specification,Features

Overview

Samsung Finally Launches The Samsung ATIV Odyssey bound for Verizon.Peoples were waiting for this model since for long time  but at the time of its announcement we were told that we could expect it in December. The month came and went, and today we were informed that the new smartphone is now going to be hitting the market in "the coming weeks." Fortunately we finally got some face time with the phone tonight, and it's about as forgettable as we expected.

This Phone features brilliant including 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, 4-inch WVGA display, dual-band Wifi a/b/g/n, 8GB internal storage, a 5MP rear camera and 1.2MP front-facing cam. It also sports a removable 2,100mAh battery and microSD slot capable of supporting cards up to 64GB.To be quite honest, the screen was nothing to write home about (though that’s really nothing for a device of this caliber) — it’s a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED panel, the likes of which you’ve seen many times before.

Specifications Verizon’s Elusive Samsung ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone:

Since we dont know exect specs of The Samsung ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone but we willtell you main feature of this phone. This phone includes 1.5GHz dual core S4 processor 1GB RAM,2100 mAh Battery 8MP Or 5MP rear camera its not clarify,4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED panel.

Our thoughts? For anyone accustomed to larger devices, the first thing you'll notice is how tiny it looks and feels. It's definitely on the light side, and our hands wrapped around the phone quite easily. This gives it a little much-needed grip since the hyperglazed, semi-glossy back is completely smooth. (It can also easily attract fingerprints.) The camera and LED flash are side-by-side, with the large Verizon logo directly below. Near the bottom you'll see the ATIV-style grille (similar to what we saw on the ATIV S), with a 3.5mm headphone jack on top, micro-USB on bottom, power and hardware shutter buttons on right and volume rocker and microSD slot on the left.

Design

When it comes to design, the Odyssey won’t come as a shock to anyone who’s manhandled any other mid-range Samsung phone in recent years (oh, and that leak from late last year was dead on). It strikes a fine balance between the round, rather bulky body of Nokia’s Lumia 920, but isn’t quite as slim or as nicely tapered as HTC’s Windows Phone 8X. In many ways it’s a typical Samsung device — lightweight and plasticky, but with a surprisingly sturdy feel. Perhaps the most surprising thing about the Odyssey’s physical design is just how small it feels in your hand; it’s only been a year or two since 4-inch smartphones were the pinnacles of product design.

All things considered, the ATIV Odyssey seems like a neat (if somewhat underwhelming) Windows Phone. Verizon may have a winner on its proverbial hands if they price the thing aggressively enough, but it’s not hard to see how a device like this could easily be overshadowed by more able hardware

While we wait for the phone to hit shelves in the near future, head below to sneak a peek at some photos of the Odyssey.

Samsung Attempted To Drops Apple Sales:EC investigation

Apple has been dramatically rebuffed by a California judge after its request for a US sales ban on a number of Samsung smartphones was turned down in the California court where a jury awarded it $1.05bn (£635m) in damages for patent infringement in August.

Also See== Samsung Strikes Apple To Become Top Mobile Phone Maker In World ==

But Samsung saw one of its biggest complaints about the verdict – that there had been jury misconduct, with the foreman Velvin Hogan being biased against it and introducing his own knowledge to the deliberation – thrown out.

The rulings by Judge Lucy Koh mean that the two phone giants, which together control about half of the entire smartphone market worldwide, will both be dissatisfied with the outcome of the post-trial hearing – though Samsung will have more cause to celebrate because its infringement will only cost it in monetary, not
sales terms.

In her ruling, Koh said: "Samsung may have cut into Apple's customer base somewhat, but there is no suggestion that Samsung will wipe out Apple's customer base, or force Apple out of the business of making smartphones. The present case involves lost sales – not a lost ability to be a viable market participant."

In effect, Koh told Apple that it is big enough to compete directly with Samsung – and that a sales ban would have little real effect on the market dynamics between the two companies.

Samsung, from South Korea, is the world's largest mobile phone and smartphone maker. Apple is the second largest smartphone maker, but ships only about half as many smartphones as Samsung. It has a substantial lead in the tablet market, though. Apple had wanted US sales bans on a number of leading Samsung smartphones and tablets.

Other parts of the US court system, however, are preparing to re-hear a call by Apple for sales bans on Samsung's Galaxy Nexus smartphone.

Joff Wild, of Intellectual Asset Management magazine, said the decision by Koh was "the most sensational and unexpected twist" in the trial: "a [sales ban] is what Apple wanted and it is what Samsung most feared. For two companies swimming in cash, the jury award was neither here nor there."

Apple is expected to appeal the decision by Judge Koh to deny any injunction. Florian Müller, who has followed the smartphone patent battles between companies in detail, noted: "It may be unprecedented in the legal history of the United States for an injunction motion to be denied across the board despite such a large number of infringement findings (roughly half a dozen) by a jury and, especially, in light of the competitive situation between the two as well as the jury's findings of willful infringement."

The jury originally decided that a number of Samsung smartphones and tablets infringed a group of Apple patents, including the way that screens of data scrolled, and the appearance of the iPhone 3G introduced in 2008. Apple opened a number of lawsuits against Samsung in April 2011.

Apple had wanted sales bans on 26 Samsung devices following the verdict, and had petitioned Judge Lucy Koh to that effect in a hearing on 6 December. But in a ruling handed down by Koh late on Monday in the San Jose court, she said that to win a ban, it would be necessary to show that "Apple must have lost these sales because Samsung infringed Apple's patents. Apple has simply not been able to make this showing."

Koh said Apple had not shown that an sales ban would be necessary for restitution of any loss by Samsung's infringement, and that it had not shown that elements infringed by Samsung had been the key reason why people chose Samsung devices over Apple ones.

Koh's denial of Samsung's claims of jury misconduct followed complaints by the company that Hogan had previously had a lawsuit involving Seagate, in which Samsung is a shareholder.

But Koh ruled that Samsung had effectively waived its right to complain about Hogan because it had carried out pre-trial interviews with him – known as voir dire – and had not then followed up points he had raised. "Parties [in the trial] waive their right to challenge the jury's impartiality if they are aware of the evidence giving rise to the motion for a new trial or fail to exercise reasonable diligence in discovering that evidence," she wrote.

Samsung's lawyers, she suggested, seemed to have been hoping that Hogan – and the jury – would rule in their favour, and only objected afterwards because the verdict went against them. Samsung's side, she said, showed "lack of reasonable diligence" in investigating Hogan's relationship with Seagate.

She added that "it is not clear whether Mr Hogan was intentionally dishonest", and that Samsung had not shown whether he knew of any relationship between Samsung and Seagate, which he left in 1993 – nearly 20 years before the trial. Instead, "what changed between Samsung's initial decision not to pursue questioning or investigation of Mr Hogan, and Samsung's later decision to investigate was simple," Koh wrote.

"The jury found against Samsung, and made a very large damages award. This is precisely the situation that courts have consistently found constitutes a waiver of the juror misconduct claim."

SmartPhones supporting Glonass Navigation...

SmartPhones supporting Glonass Navigation...

What Is GLONASS?

GLONASS is a global satellite navigation system, providing real time position and velocity determination for military and civilian users. The satellites are located in middle circular orbit at 19,100 km altitude with a 64.8 degree inclination and a period of 11 hours and 15 minutes.GLONASS' orbit makes it especially suited for usage in high latitudes (north or south), where getting a GPS signal can be problematic. The constellation operates in three orbital planes, with 8 evenly spaced satellites on each.A fully operational constellation with global coverage consists of 24 satellites, while 18 satellites are necessary for covering the territory of Russia. To get a position fix, the receiver must be in the range of at least four satellites, three of which will be used to determine the user's location and the fourth to synchronise clocks of the receiver and the three other spacecraft.

This is a list of smartphones who support GLONASS navigation

Samsung Strikes Apple to become top mobile phone maker in US

WASHINGTON: Samsung extended its lead as the top mobile phone maker in the US market and Apple moved into second place, an industry tracker said. A survey by comScore showed that in the three-month period ending in October

South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has extended its lead as the top mobile phone maker in the US market and Apple moved into second place, according to a report.

A survey by comScore showed that in the three-month period ending in October, Samsung was the top manufacturer with 26.3% market share, up from 25.6% in the prior period.

Apple, which sells only smartphones, moved into second place in the US market for the first time, with a 17.8% market share, up 1.5% points, News24 reports.

South Korean maker LG was third at 17.6%, followed by Motorola at 11%, the report added.

According to the report, the survey showed Google's Android system gained ground as the leading smartphone platform, with 53.6% of the market, up from 52.2%.

BlackBerry maker Research in Motion saw its share slip further from 9.5 to 7.8% in the period, the report said.

Samsung Galaxy S III (S3) Mini - 5MP Camera - 4-inch sAMOLED ..

Overview
The S III mini is more intriguing than your typical mid-range model, as it has the privilege of being named after one of the best and most popular Android phones around.....
The Samsung Galaxy S III mini's appearance is super-inspired by its bigger sibling, the Galaxy S III. If you don't look closely, you might even think that the S III mini is simply a shrunken version of the GS III, but that would be wrong. Thanks to some minor changes like moving the Home button a bit higher on the S III mini, Samsung has managed to achieve a more pleasing look. Overall, the handset is pretty good-looking, with its white version being perfect for women.

What's different?

Firstly, starting toward the top of both devices, the mini has a slightly more rounded appearance. Certainly, this is a side effect of its narrower shape, meaning those same curved shoulders come together more quickly, leaving less flat space between them. Below this, you'll note that the sensors and camera have moved from the right on the original Galaxy S III to the left this time around. Beneath these, the Samsung logo is actually larger than before, as is the total distance from the top of the screen to the top of the device, making the bezel taller at the extremes of the newer phone. This also gives the device a slightly more elongated feel overall when placed side by side. Curiously, it seems that Samsung also thinks smaller hands want bigger input options, as the home button is notably larger on the mini than the one on the standard GS III. Likewise, the power button on the right-hand side is slightly taller and squarer than the one on the original, which is more symmetrical.

Display

It four inches across diagonally, with a WVGA (800 x 480) resolution and a density of 233 ppi. Samsung's sticking to its Super AMOLED PenTile guns whether you like it or not, but if you're the kind of person who finds that a turn-off, you likely already lost interest somewhere in the last section. In reality, the display is adequate, and still delivers a pleasant enough experience. What it lacks in pixel density, it makes up for in brightness and color representation.measures

So, the most interesting thing here should be the 4” screen size of the Galaxy S III mini. We have to say that we quite like it. In fact, it seems perfect for most basic stuff that one can do on a smartphone, like using the organizer features, browser, camera, etc. Well, if you are a heavy user, who plays a lot of games, or watches a lot of video, or simply uses their smartphone as their main computer, then we'd recommend getting something with a bigger screen, like the GS III or One X or Note II, but in most other scenarios, where you're using your phone as a phone, organizer, social networking device, some web browsing and the occasional game, we think the 4” display of the S III mini is big enough to provide a comfortable experience.

 4.0” AMOLED Display
This is what we call seeing reality. Its beautiful 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display offers a generous viewing experience that lets you view multimedia and Web content in brilliant colour and clarity.

Jelly Bean OS

Powered by Android™ 4.1 (Jelly Bean), the latest version of the world’s most popular smartphone operating system. Jelly Bean has fast, fluid and smooth graphics along with a new Google Search™ experience featuring Google Now™, which brings you just the right information, before you even ask.

Processor and Memory:
The processor that Samsung has used for the Galaxy S III mini is one of the things that seemed to have pissed people off. The “problem” here is that while many expected the company to utilize its super-powerful quad-core Exynos 4412 chipset, it has instead gone with an ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8420, which is a dual-core CPU clocked at 1GHz. The GPU chip is the Mali-400MP, which packs quite a punch.

All in all, the system performance is great. The NovaThor chip is doing a wonderful job so there isn't reason to worry about performance. Now, there are some slight hints of lag scattered throughout the system, but they are just that – very slight hints that simply cannot ruin the positive impression made by the device. And as we said earlier, since you probably won't be using the S III mini as your primary computing device, why would you need a cutting-edge chipset here in the first place?

The Galaxy S III mini comes with 1 GB of RAM, which is a standard amount even for high-end smartphones nowadays. While we were testing the phone, we did not encounter any visible slowdowns.

Internal storage is yet another area where the Samsung Galaxy S III mini performs admirably. Coming in 8GB and 16GB flavors, not only does the mini have plenty of built-in storage, but it also features a microSD card slot, which can read cards of up to 32 GB, so storage space won't really be an issue with this device.

Samsung Galaxy SII review | Phone Reviews | Price | Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S II is a touchscreen-enabled, slate-format Android smartphone designed, developed, and marketed by Samsung Electronics. It sees additional software features, expanded hardware, and a redesigned physique than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S, and was succeeded by the Samsung Galaxy S III in May 2012.The device was launched with Android 2.3 "Gingerbread", updates to Android 4.0.4 "Ice Cream Sandwich",and will update to Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean".

Samsung unveiled the S II on 13 February 2011 at the Mobile World Congress It was one of the slimmest smartphones of the time, mostly 8.49 mm thick, except for two small bulges which take the maximum thickness of the phone to 9.91 mm. The Galaxy S II has a 1.2 GHz dual-core "Exynos" system on a chip (SoC) processor,1 GB of RAM, a 10.8 cm (4.3 in) WVGA Super AMOLED Plus screen display and an 8-megapixel camera with flash and 1080p full high definition video recording. It is one of the first devices to offer a Mobile High-definition Link (MHL), which allows up to 1080p uncompressed video output to an MHL enabled TV or to an MHL to HDMI adapter, while charging the device at the same time. USB On-The-Go (USB OTG) is supported.

The user-replaceable battery gives up to ten hours of heavy usage, or two days of lighter usage.According to Samsung, the Galaxy S II is capable of providing 9 hours of talk time on 3G and 18.3 hours on 2G.

The Galaxy S II was launched with Android 2.3 "Gingerbread". American variants began shipments with the slightly-updated version 2.3.5 installed.Version 2.3.6 was made globally available on 12 December 2011.On 13 March 2012, Samsung began to roll out upgrades to Android 4.0.3 "Ice Cream Sandwich" through their phone management software KIES to users in Korea, Hungary, Poland and Sweden. Russian users received the update on 5 July 2012, while the rest of Europe received it on 1 August 2012.The Galaxy S II will receive the Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" update, along with Samsung's new TouchWiz Nature UX software.

Hardware and design

The Galaxy S II has a 1.2 GHz dual core ARM Cortex-A9 processor that uses Samsung's own 'Exynos 4210' System on a chip (SoC) that was previously code-named "Orion". The Exynos branded SoC was the source of much speculation concerning another branded successor to the previous "Hummingbird" single-core SoC of the Samsung Galaxy S. The Exynos 4 Dual 45 nm (previously Exynos 4210) uses ARM's Mali-400 MP GPU. This graphics GPU, supplied by ARM, is a move away from the PowerVR GPU of the Samsung Galaxy S.

The Exynos 4210 supports ARM's SIMD engine (also known as Media Processing Engine, or 'NEON' instructions), and may give a significant performance advantage in critical performance situations such as accelerated decoding for many multimedia codecs and formats (e.g., On2's VP6/7/8 or Real formats).

Variants

Galaxy S II LTE variants - Models GT-I9210/T, SHV-E110S and SHV-E120S

Announced on 28 August 2011, the Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy S II LTE EU (GT-I9210, Samsung Celox) and Galaxy S II HD LTE mobile phones are part of the Galaxy S II family. They run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, have 16 GB of internal memory, and feature a Snapdragon APQ8060 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The S II LTE has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. The S II HD LTE features a 4.65-inch high-definition Super AMOLED display, offering a screen of 720x1280 pixels – 720p HD resolution. Both of these variants have NFC enabled.

Galaxy S II - Model GT-I9100G

The Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G was released in late 2011, and is usually sold instead of the original GT-I9100 in certain markets (mostly Asia and some parts of Europe). An overview of the Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G can be seen on Samsung's official website. It features a Texas  Instruments OMAP4430 SoC instead of the Exynos in the GT-I9100. It is visually identical to the GT-I9100, as well as having the same 1.2 GHz processor speed and dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor technology. However, the CPU processing core is of a different design and the GPU is replaced by a PowerVR SGX 540 graphics processor. While practically equivalent, the different SoC makes this variant incompatible with custom ROMs intended for the I9100. It has gained support for aftermarket firmwares such as CyanogenMod 9.
